Welcome to “Bonnie” Park.
Bonchester Bridge caravan & camping site covers an area of approximately 3.2 acres and located centrally within the village of Bonchester in the Scottish Borders region, only 7 miles from Hawick and Jedburgh, “Bonnie” park is perfectly placed to explore the entire borders region. On the menu is peace and quiet, on a small intimate site with plenty of wildlife to observe, which includes families of Swallows (my personal favourite), kingfishers, herons and otters, to name a few. We welcome well behaved pets & “children” 😊. There is a lovely childrens park in the village along with a football pitch, and for the pooches, there’s a beautiful wooded walk accessible from the site, as well as an abundance of walks around the outskirts of the village.
Book a pitch at Bonchester Bridge Caravan & Camping Site and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and take time away to relax, appreciate nature and explore the history of what Bonchester Bridge Caravan & Camping Site has to offer.
At Bonchester Bridge Caravan & Camping, or Bonnie Park as we like to call it, we believe in getting as close to nature as you can without all the frills we now attach to our modern lives. With that in mind please do not expect a bar, club or restaurant. There is a village inn serving food & drinks next door. Do not expect late night booze fueled parties either, listen instead to owls, bats and the sound of the river Rule as it gently goes on its way to meet River Teviot.
The night sky over Bonchester Bridge Caravan & Camping Site when you get a cloud free evening is spectacular! If stargazing is something you are interested in and would like to experience more, we are only a 35-minute drive from Kielder Observatory a public astronomical observatory which is second to none, under some of the darkest skies in the world where you’ll find “infinite inspiration” and wonders you could never have imagined! Just visit https://kielderobservatory.org/ to book. Once you have replenished your batteries, there are plenty of tourist attractions to visit during your stay. These include the market towns of Kelso and Jedburgh for example. Visit the Whiskey distillers and sample the unique Scottish Borders whiskey flavours. Or you could do the famous Abbey and castle tours of which there are many to choose from! The area is also a favourite with walkers, cyclists, horse riders and history lovers.
The pitch layout is informal yet designed to maintain “your space” with generously proportioned grass and hard standings. Some of which have water and electric hook up.
We have a beautiful recently refurbished toilet and shower block which also houses a modern laundry room and sluice which have received great reviews on a number of camping forums. Bonnie park is easy to find, just make your way to Bonchester Bridge village and we are right next to the only pub in the village.
Relax and indulge yourself in local food and drink and soak up the hospitality, particular to the Scots who are as warm as they are welcoming. We are included on many booking sites however you can book directly with us via this page, where you can also book a pitch using your own language. Simply select your chosen language when booking.
